Microlearning Professional Development Modules in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Academic research funding agencies, like the Tri-Agency (Government of Canada) are increasingly expecting university researchers to build skills and aptitudes to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion in their academic research practices. Viswali Consulting was hired by Queen’s University, Human Rights and Equity Office to develop three online microlearning professional development modules for highly qualified academic researchers:

  • Introduction to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Research Design

  • Developing Inclusive Research Teams

  • Embedding Equity in Knowledge Mobilization, Knowledge Translation, and Data Management

Viswali Consulting, collaborated with stakeholders, conducted research, and designed all content for the training modules that were transformed into an e-learning platform for the community of university researchers at Queen’s.
